The fashion industry permeates every part of this planet earth including the African continent. Africa as a developing continent has some fashion schools in almost all the countries that make up the continent. Most of these fashion schools in Africa are mainly run by private individuals and companies. Only very few among them are accredited by the relevant authorities. ? The Technikon is a unique international fashion school located in Pretoria, South Africa. Today in the entire African continent, the country of South Africa is the main gate way to international dealing with other continents of the world. The reason is not far fetched. The South Africa has been a haven for the western people before the apartheid revolution.
? The Technikon is the only fashion school in the whole African continent with the international character. Some others are trailing behind. Technikon accepts foreign students from other every culture and race.
? The Technikon in its faculty of fashion design offers degrees which include: a National Certificate of fashion for just a year study. It also offers a National Higher Certificate of Fashion for two years program.
